Zenviron is a leading provider of engineering, procurement, and construction services for the renewable energy sector. They were tasked with constructing a 37-wind turbine project at the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm, located about 3.5 hours Northwest of Sydney.

Zenviron needed to meet construction deadlines for the wind farm project, which required specific fasteners and compliance with ISO and AS/NZS standards. Allfasteners was contacted due to their previous successful projects and capabilities in the renewable sector as a fastener supplier.

Comprehensive fastener suppliers are difficult to come by and sourcing from many companies is the norm. The problem with multiple vendors is that they all have different standards, shipping time-lines, and customer service processes. Allfasteners was able to provide Zenviron with a single-source provider with quick turnaround times on fastener orders, completely negating the many varying issues that come with multiple suppliers.

Allfasteners worked closely with Zenviron to understand their specific requirements and developed a custom solution. They supplied M36 10.9 hold-down bolts and nuts, which are high-strength bolts used to anchor wind turbine towers to their foundations. These bolts are designed to withstand high stress and tension, making them ideal for wind turbine projects.

In addition to the hold-down bolts, anchor rings were used to secure the hold-down bolts in place, ensuring a safe and stable foundation for the wind turbines.

To ensure that the fasteners met the necessary compliance requirements, Allfasteners provided shop drawings and performed thread rolling, welding, and drilling to manufacture custom-made products according to project specifications. The debonding sleeves were also included to ensure that the anchor bolts resisted loads placed on the wind turbine.

Finally, Allfasteners provided custom galvanizing and assembly work to ensure that the fasteners were ready for installation on the wind turbines.
