Masonry Screw Applications

Concrete tappers and masonry screws are ideal for securing wood to masonry, making them perfect for affixing wooden frames, furring strips or other wood elements to concrete or brick walls. They are also highly effective when it comes to mounting fixtures. This includes lights, cabinets, or shelves onto masonry surfaces.
In addition, these masonry screws excel at attaching metal to masonry. Whether it's metal doors, window frames, or brackets, they can be securely fastened to concrete, brick, or block walls using our high-performance masonry screws.

Installing Masonry Screws

  • Drill a Hole: Start by drilling a hole into the masonry using a hammer drill equipped with a carbide-tipped masonry bit. Ensure the hole is slightly deeper than the length of the masonry screw to accommodate dust accumulation.
  • Clean the Hole: Remove the dust from the hole using compressed air, a wire brush or a vacuum to ensure a secure fit for the screw.
  • Insert the Masonry Screw: Position the masonry screw into the hole and slowly begin to tighten it using a screwdriver or drill. Make sure not to overtighten as this may cause the screw to strip the hole.
  • Test the Screw: Once the screw is flush with the surface, give a gentle tug to make sure it's secure.
