Concrete Screw Applications

Concrete screws are ideal for securing wood to masonry, making them perfect for affixing wooden frames, furring strips or other wood elements to concrete or brick walls. They are also highly effective when it comes to mounting fixtures. This includes lights, cabinets, or shelves onto masonry surfaces.

In addition, these masonry screws excel at attaching metal to masonry. Whether it's metal doors, window frames, or brackets, they can be securely fastened to concrete, brick, or block walls using our high-performance masonry screws.

Installing Concrete Screws

  • Select Screw Length: Using the correct length concrete screw for your fixture thickness will save time and money.
  • Drill a Hole: Pre-drill the masonry to the correct depth and diameter using a hammer drill equipped with a carbide-tipped masonry bit. Drill diameter can be increased by 0.5mm in higher MPa concrete see tech data sheet.
  • Clean the Hole: Remove the dust from the hole using compressed air, a wire brush or a vacuum to ensure a secure fit for the screw.
  • Insert the Masonry Screw: Place your fixtue hard up agasinst the surface whilst positioning the masonry screw into the hole and slowly begin to tighten it using a drill driver or impact drill. Make sure not to overtighten as this may cause the screw to strip the hole.
  • Visual inspection: Once the screw is firmly clamped with the surface, ensure the head is seated properly to make sure it's secure.
