Through bolt anchors are as easy to install as any other type of mechanical bolt, with the added benefit of extra strength.
All you need to do is mark hole locations for where you want to drill - if you have it, marking through a base plate with pre-drilled holes is a good trick that requires little measuring and drill a hole into the masonry to a depth that matches the length of the bolt between the tip and the head or washer. Also allow for the thickness of the material you are securing to the masonry.
Then, simply push the anchor through and tighten. The sleeve on the tip of the bolt expands and grips the sides of the hole, creating a super-tight attachment for almost anything.
