In order to expedite the construction of the Inland Rail’s culverts from Narrabri to North Star, Allfasteners devised a unique solution-long threaded rods and accompanying couplers. These pieces could reach lengths as long as 22.2 meters, allowing installation crews on-site greater flexibility in their work while ensuring fastening was done securely.

Additional stress bars were placed between culverts using special brackets supplied by Allfasteners to secure the culverts into place. Timely lead times were adhered to and technical specifications were met, allowing the Inland Rail’s culvert installation to be completed on time

Likewise, for the Victorian Level Crossing Removal Program, it was crucial that turnarounds times for product delivery were met in order to keep the project on track. Allfasteners provided a range of products like hold-down bolt cages quickly and efficiently. Allfasteners have been involved in multiple level crossing removal projects including the Mooroolbark and Lilydale crossings, to name a few.

Working with CPB and Metro Rail, hold-down bolt cages were supplied for gantry footings and similar critical structures – particularly along the Hurstbridge line during track duplications and crossing removals at Rosanna and Alphington. Adhering to strict specifications for the multiple cages delivered allowed CPB and Metro Rail to efficiently embed the fasteners to the engineered depths, without any issues

• As the Inland Rail project moves rapidly progresses in 2023 with its 1700-kilometre network along Australia’s eastern seaboard being established.
• The Metro Tunnel project, located in Melbourne, has completed excavating the 9 kilometres of tunnel and is now progressing towards construction on its numerous stations in 2023.
