With over 20 years at Allfasteners, Steve Strange has played a foundational role in shaping the company’s customer-focused culture and national presence. As one of five brothers, Steve joined the family business early on, beginning in internal and counter sales where he quickly recognised the importance of relationship-building and reliable service. His strong communication skills and commitment to delivering “in full, on time” laid the groundwork for his progression into external sales and eventually into his current leadership role as Sales Director.
Steve brings hands-on expertise across mechanical and chemical anchoring systems, with deep knowledge of Australian standards and project compliance under AS 5216. His work has spanned manufacturing, infrastructure, and commercial construction industries, often managing complex project needs involving specialised materials, hold down bolt assemblies, and anchor installation requirements.
A notable example of Steve’s practical problem-solving was on the Metro Tunnel project, where he successfully helped gain approval for the CS-SD dynamic stud anchor and chemical anchor system — offering a cost-effective alternative to the originally specified solution. Recognising installation inefficiencies on recessed base plates, Steve also engineered a lightweight aluminium drilling template to assist installers in the field.
An AEFAC Registered Installer, Steve is known for his down-to-earth, hands-on leadership style, with a reputation for solving technical and logistical challenges by thinking holistically — from production all the way through to final installation.
