- A reduction factor is added for pry-out and concrete edge failure modes to account for overturning moment of fasteners with a lever arm close to an edge. This conservative approach is based on latest German engineering publications because current European and Australian codes/standards (AS 5216 C7.2.2.1) do not provide any method of analysis for this.
