SQ800® Screws self drill thick steel up-to 20mm

INSTALLATION

We recommend the use of a drill driver on low speed, applying constant pressure. Do not use an impact driver as this may damage the screw – it is not recommend to over torque screws.

The drill point must be completely drilled through the joining material to ensure effective installation.

Maximum drilling capacity is for the self drilling and self tapping action of the screw. If elements of more than 20mm thickness are required to be connected, the hole in the top element being connected to the steel needs to be predrilled and 1-2mm oversized.

It is possible to self drill through multiple plates up to 20mm total thickness. However, these plates must be clamped together securely first.
