The NEW large flange series SD500® hex self drilling screws with improve installation, less deformation to surface material same drilling capacity of steel up-to 12mm.
Our SD500® bimetal screws feature a hardened carbon steel drill tip and 316 grade stainless steel body and head. This gives the ultimate corrosion resistance in a self drilling screw that can be used in applications using variety of metals.
With a dual layer Ruspert surface coating there appearance will not appear to have a typical stainless steel look. This is simply part of the manufacturing process ensuring a high level of corrosion protection.
Drill capacity through steel: 6.00 – 12.00 mm
Proper installation should allow for the entire screw point to penetrate your joining material. Please select the correct length.

CORROSION RESISTANCE
Austenitic stainless steel 316 grade with Ruspert coating. Ruspert coating is a high-grade metal surface technology that prevents surface corrosion. Consisting of a baked ceramic surface coating and a second metallic zinc layer, these layers are bonded together through chemical reactions producing a strong coating film.
